Lionel Franssen tested the shortest board in the Australian brand's foam surf range for you: the Softlite Biohazard 5'0, in classic summer conditions in France.
"My first impression is that it's very comfortable to paddle. Also quite easy to get started. The construction and short shape of the board make it a very rigid board for a foam surfboard. The well-defined rails allow for good grip at the bottom.
A small drawback in my opinion is that I think it's difficult for taller people (1.80m and more) to place their feet. However, it's super fun for smaller people, children, teenagers, or light adults.
Usually, I prefer to surf my soft tops with classic fins rather than the soft fins that come with them. But I still recommend keeping the soft fins for surfing among the many swimmers who are outside the swimming zone in summer, or even for children, to prevent them from getting hurt."
