When conditions are right, the first thing you do is reach for the best board in your quiver to make the most of it.

In Les Landes, autumn is often the best time to surf long swells, accompanied by good sandbanks, which usually means tubes galore.

The perfect opportunity for Lionel Frassen to test the Mullet Biscuit 5'4 in some rather nice conditions.

Here's his post-session reaction:

"The waves were perfect, I hesitated to take a classic PU board to be sure to get some good tubes, but since it was closing out a lot and I didn't want to break my board, I opted for this foam surfboard. 5'4 might seem small, but this softboard is still 35L, which is much more voluminous than my classic 28L boards. I was very comfortable paddling and the fact that the board was equipped with a quattro allowed me to maintain speed and control. I really had fun, I thought the board would be too short but in the end it was perfect! Well, I admit I also got wiped out in some big close-outs, that's the game ;) "
